Riskiness in Repetition
Purpose
I hope that my design could help my users use furniture longer, consuming less, constructing a sustainable consumption as well, not only the concept of being 'sustainable'. I am going to explore the possibilities of creating the individual value either for objects or users behind the background from mass production and repetition, which I think was one of solutions how to extend the life of a piece of furniture as much as possible.
Stenebyskolan, Dals Långed, Sweden
Stenebyskolan was a craft-based school surrounded by gorgeous nature, specializing in wood furniture design, which gave me insights into how to let material lead my design.
Respecting material and nature was my comprehension related to sustainable design.
